Piezoelectric actuators (PEA) are frequently employed in applications where nano-Micr-odisplacement is required because of their high-precision performance. However, the positioning affected substantially by hysteresis which resembles an nonlinear effect. In addition, mathematical models own deficiencies that can influence on reference following The objective this study was to enhance tracking accuracy a commercial PEA stack actuator with implementation novel approach consists use Super-Twisting Algorithm (STA) combined artificial neural networks (ANN). A Lyapunov stability proof bestowed explain theoretical solution. Experimental results proposed method were compared proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller. outcomes real reported structure stable as it proved theoretically, and experiments provided significant error reduction contrast PID.
